Armi e violenza

Sunday I talked about Gandhi, a man of peace who knows what would have voted at the next initiative "No to Arms" (for protection from violence perpetrated with weapons). I have no doubt, though I think the purpose is to combat violence. I usually do not give my vote, but on this occasion, as a man, as a Christian and as a Franciscan, I say that I will vote "yes."
As a man I am opposed to the violence (but do not consider this defense), so do not approve of the fact that they take home the tools to perpetrate violence against men and to animals (hunting).
consider peace as the supreme good and I try to urge people to live and work to keep the peace. As a man-Swiss
I do not believe that my "yes" is against the national values; poor if Switzerland has put its values \u200b\u200band its traditions in the weapons of war.
As a Christian I believe the Beatitudes, one of which proclaims: "Blessed are the peacemakers." I try to be among those whom the angels greeted the announcement with Christmas: "Glory to God in the heavens and on earth peace to men of good will." How
Franciscan churches in Assisi, the Holy One of his brothers to give up weapons to be credible witnesses of a preaching of peace in the cities and countryside of Umbria, in a time when the peasants came out for fear of armed bandits who infested the campaigns.
